The beginning of this video seems basic, but stick with it! Davison offers some insights that were very helpful to me, and the segment with the spine was totally new. Davison is a natural in front of the camera -- everything he says seems unplanned and spontaneous, but also very organized and easy to follow. Notice this footage is available from Vimeo -- trying to find non-Youtube videos as I recently learned Youtube is banned in some countries. This video is from Vimeo, which offers high definition videos...

Actually I have found my computers hate Vimeo. :3 I was on this one page with a vimeo on it for half an hour last night and it never showed up, just kept going round and round and round....
ReplyDeletegreat video - very informative - it is like a free clinic ;)
ReplyDeleteI've watched his videos before. He is very informative. Men have such different seats than women with their strong torsos. I bet he works out on weights. I know that my weight workouts make a big difference on how my upper body feels when riding. don't you love his horse?
ReplyDeleteHis name is Richard Davison not Davis :-0 ;) and he is indeed a great trainer/rider here in the UK. I love vimeo, such good quality!
ReplyDeleteHi, I do love his horse. Half the reason I watch the videos is to see the horses -- esp the Jane Savoie videos. I think she has a video for first level riders, and they demonstrate a serpentine. I'm totally smitten with that horse!
ReplyDeleteHi Wiola, Thanks for the correction with apologies to RD.
ReplyDeleteCool video - will have to watch it at home, not at work. lol
ReplyDeleteHe is a lovely rider - love his leg position. The nice British accent helps too! ;-)
