He does look like he wants to be a hunter right now -- but his bloodlines are more dressage, and that's my personal interest. In the end it is more about having raised him and bonding with him. If I can ride him passably well and we have fun, that's the main thing :-)
Oh Stacey- those are fantastic shots. Riley is truly a very beautiful young fellow. Cant wait over time here, to see how you two move along together, and where he decides to work best for you!
You two look exceptionally elegant. I'm so jealous! ;) And it's brave of you to show him yourself, but such an important thing to do as his owner, at least once. I'm already getting nervous about showing Halo next year in halter, which is silly, because there's no way on earth we'll even be competitive with her adorable frankenhorseishness.
What a gorgeous boy! I notice he is pushing out with his hind end even at the slow trot (slow for him that is). His hind foot is stepping right in the foot print of the front foot (maybe a tad ahead) in the middle photo, and he looks nice and loose. I could see dressage in his future.

He's gorgeous! What are you aiming him towards? He looks huntery to me but I am just basing that off his picture. Great pictures.
