Found this on another blog (laughing-trip.blogspot.com) -- a humor blog. It was also on SolitaireMare's blog -- but I must have missed it.
Update: Someone just asked via the comments "are these for real?" Truly I thought they were novelty items but here is a link to an article that says they are all the rage in Japan...

Use this if you're wondering just how it feels to be a horse..
Are those for Real? (Excuse my ignorance.)
ReplyDeleteTruthfully I'd assumed they were a novelty or "bedroom" item, but I just added a link to the article about them -- says they are all the rage in Japan!
ReplyDeleteUgh.....
ReplyDeleteI had posted about these on my blog a while back. How come we never saw these on "Sex and the City"?
ReplyDeleteOuch. How does she walk? I sure hope she doesn't tear her suspensory. Hehe
ReplyDeletehaha! I've never been truly shod before. :D
ReplyDeleteHey, Solitairemare, could you give us a link to your page? I'll add it to the entry.
ReplyDeleteWoah, so strange, and so cool too! Japan always tends to be a bit eccentric with fashion, but also fashion forward-watch out America!
ReplyDeleteIt's true that shoes leaving horse-shoe shaped prints are a trend in Japan.

Those couldn't look any more uncomfortable...
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking about how horses slip so badly when they wear shoes.
ReplyDeleteWould anyone seriously wear those? are they meant for riding or just to get kinky? The horses in japan must be having a laugh at the riders on the quiet! i think they make your feet look slightly deformed but then i know nothing about fashion!
ReplyDeleteFortunetly my fourteen year old daughter does and informs me that all the new clothing she buys is absolutely necessary. She is especially fond of getting new equestrian boots and clothing. If she would just look after them properly and stop growing!
