What? No matching girth?? For nearly $5300, there should be a matching girth... I don't hate it, though. As a matter of fact, I'd love to see it sitting atop a nice big grey or black horse! I guess saddlers need to have a little fun once in a while too--brown and black can be so boring...
It would great for a parade or special event. For a "flag" motif, it is actually fairly tastefully designed.
But I do agree about a girth. And you would need a special bridle. Tha saddle pad would need to be either one solid color, or perhaps very simply trimmed with red/white and blue.
Then there is the problem that, if you were riding in it, no one could really appreciate the decorations.
Oh, I think they'd see enough of it even if someone were sitting on it. It needs red stirrup leathers and a fancy girth, striped maybe? Hmmm, and a pretty, solid colored pad. Oh yeah, red leather bridle with a fancy browband- all stars. Definitely would look best on a white, gray, or black horse.
Wonder woman is selling her saddle?! Bletch! I'll hate it for you! What can I say, I don't even have a trendy, blingy bridle. Say nothing of my saddles. Basic black goes with everything for me. :) hehe
The sad thing is... If not for the price, I might have bought it when I was still doing drill team! I have a matching bridle (biothane) and could find a girth to go with it. :D

ReplyDeleteHow fun is that! It's really good I'm not rich. God is protecting me from the atrocious things I'd buy. It's the only explanation. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it is pretty cool! I have the same saddle, but mine is plain brown. How boring.
