This video is not for the faint (feint?) of heart -- I don't know the outcome of this incident, it can't have been very good. Consider yourself warned. I'm sharing it because I think it's instructive -- these drivers are doing the equivalent of feeding grizzlies at Yellowstone. Horses are UNPREDICTABLE. It toasts me when I see video of people taking chances with horses -- sitting on them backwards, holding infants, etc.

Holy. Crap.
ReplyDeleteMy heart is still stuttering from that. That poor, poor horse.....
Ouch!
ReplyDeleteI remember when this was in the news. I want to say this was somewhere in Europe, though that may be wrong. I do, however, remember that neither the horse nor the people in the car were seriously injured - what a miracle!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on Good Morning America. I think this happened in Isreal and according to Chris Cuomo no one was hurt and the horse just had very minor scratches. Truly a miracle.
ReplyDeletePoor horse. Looks like that car didn't fare to well either. Scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how clueless people are about animals. Even if you didn't know much about horses, wouldn't you still think to be more careful? I don't know anything about camels, but if a bunch of them were running along the road with me, I'd be worried that they might panic and run into me, so I'd slow down …
ReplyDeleteI wonder who would, legally, be considered to be at fault here.
OMG! people never cease to amaze me in their absolute idiocy. I see it time and time again. Glad to hear the horse came out okay.
ReplyDeleteI feel relieved to read the comment from the person who said she recalls that neither the horse nor the people in the car were injured.
ReplyDeleteI meant to say "seriously" injured.
ReplyDeleteI think that happened in Isreal and no one was hurt. That includes the horse, of course. However, I could be wrong as I get mixed up sometimes. About the location. I'm pretty sure that the horse wasn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is some crazy stuff. I can't believe there were no lives lost. Nuts.
ReplyDeleteBothers me how the car is following the horses while taping. They should have been able realize that wasn't a good idea, even if they are unfamiliar with horses. Too caught up in the "romance" of running horses I suppose to think "Hey they are running on a highway." Were they paying enough attention to the road themselves?
