It's a slow news day ;-) but here is some footage of the boys who are awaiting their night turnout. Harv has schtick that drives us all crazy, Riley just looks cute in his pink SWAT makeup.
So many things about Harvey are cute, but this particular habit is not. Sometimes he and Skippy bellow in unison, and it's like standing in front of the speakers at a KISS concert. Ear protection suggested.

Maybe he only thinks he gets turned out BECAUSE he bellows. Wouldn't that be funny?

He reacted to fly spray the other day and my barn manager suggested that swat is a good choice for sensitive boys and girls. I have found it to work well, esp on his belly to get rid of the knats. It is kind of gooey...

ReplyDeleteMine used to bang on the stall door. At one place, they gave him hay to shut him up. I was like ... gee, thanks for perpetuating the habit.

ReplyDeleteWe had a mare that would kick the stall door if she didn't go out first, she knocked it off its bottom hinges once and clipped another horse that was walking by. =/ They want what they want when they want it. Still love them though <3
