"Remember, we need shoulders like a princess and hips like a whore."
This quote was posted on COTH as part of a "trainer sayings" thread. I love it.

Oooh! Oooh! That was my FarmWife that posted that!
ReplyDeleteEars to you,
Fenway Bartholomule
www.BraysOfOurLives.com
That's a really good one.
ReplyDeleteOne that sticks in my mind was uttered to a teen girl just before a big jumping class: "YOU are NOT a RIDER! YOU are an IMPEDIMENT to your horse!" AFter my son, in the same class, went off course, I said "There's always next year." And he said "You're not as mean as I thought." LOL
That reminds me of my favorite trainer saying, "toes in, tits out." It really blew my mind when I first heard it at the tender age of 12.
ReplyDeleteone of my favorites was always
ReplyDelete(to be said in a wispy british accent) "stop flopping on your horse like a trout"
Oh, that is awesome! And actually quite useful as a riding tip.
ReplyDeleteThat one made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteOnce a clinician said: "You need to do more WonderBra....LIFT and SEPARATE!"
That is so funny! My BO quoted it to us last weekend, from your blog! My latest posture mantra to myself is "heels down to China, shoulders back to California, eyes up to heaven, and tummy in!"
