Wilona: a mare that merges two of my favorite bloodlines!


She's by Quaterback X Don Schufro and to me she has the gait mechanics of both. 
She's coming 3 years old, but what a trot!  I guess the jury is out on whether she'll get the "10" Quaterback canter.  She was pretty excited, and kept cross-cantering. Her shoulder is huge.

    My old trainer has a Don Shufro mare, lovely and calm but great energy! but she is HUGE!, I could see this mare having a late growth spurt too.

    She surely does float along there! The few instances in the canter look like it's there, but when a horse is being so silly, it's hard to say.

    Pretty girl.

    She makes my Thoroughbred's gaits look like that of an old cart horse!

    Thought I detected a bit of cross-cantering there, but that can be fixed, and she is lovely. Sure there's not a bit of Arabian in there as well?

    I'll admit, I'm definately not a fan of her canter. It's extremely flat in this video. Beautiful trot though!

    I LOVE QUARTERBACK! She looks like a phenomenal mover. Can't wait to see her in a couple years.
