Singing "horse"

This clip is like something from a Coen brothers movie. It made me laugh at 5:50am, hope it has the same effect on y'all. I wanna know more about this scene...

  3. Gee, that's an awfully long eared, "horse," there. I think I saw this somewhere before. I'll see if I can track it down. But I must admit, it still makes me laugh. Wonder what that "horse" would do if there were a really good violinist there playing something classically complex? Maybe some "Braytoveen?" *sorry*

Oh dear! I am very embarrassed that this video became to popular. I really thought only my family and friends would see it.
My son and I were goofing off outside when I came up with the idea of playing my viola (violin strung as a viola) for our cows. I thought since cowboys sang to cattle, I'd try to play Red River Valley for them. However, they ignored me completely (probably because I had just given them a new round bale and they were enjoying it too much). In the meantime, Donkeyotee called to me from across the farm. So, I set up near him to play Sweetly Sings the Donkey, turned on the video camera and, well, viola!

Donkeyotee is quite a character and always has been. I rescued him as a baby. Here is a link to the story:

Two disclaimers: One, I am (quite obviously) a beginner. Two, I had just broken my electronic tuner a few days before (I had a pitch pipe on order).

Love it! Apparently Donkeyotee is a natural musician.
