Black Caviar for Christmas

Sure, sex sells, but so do horses! Here are two pretty girls -- the model, who appears to be a rider, and the mare, Black Caviar. Thanks to Jessica of fourteencarrots for this idea.

"Australian horse racing champion Julia Nobis graces the December 2012 issue of Vogue Australia. For the cover photo she pose alongside her race horse Black Caviar. Benny Horne’s lens capture her wearing a gown from Alexander McQueen. Read more about it in the Herald Sun article..."

  2. "her racehorse Black Caviar". I doubt it!

I think every Australian would like to own a piece of that horse.

  3. Uh, yeah, I noticed the "her horse" bit, too, and was wondering. The linked article indicates that the cover model is in fact, nothing but a model who graces European runways. However...

"The mare's female owners also feature in the edition in a stylish photo shoot."

So the real owners appear somewhere inside. Regardless, it's a beautiful cover and I applaud Vogue for putting TWO gorgeous women on it!

  4. I saw the head shot and thought "AAAAW". I love that part of the picture. BUT.. It's not just the angle but the horse has been photo shopped to appear slimmer! Reduced to some girls imaginary dream horsie. And the ratio of model to horse makes BC pony size. Here is BC looking very normal at 16.2 with a normal human.

Maybe you all read fashion mags and this is all part of the fashion fantasy but it's very silly to me. Love that head shot though!
