L'Espoir - Sandro Hit
Ampere - Damon Hill

The Ampere/Gribaldi first choice.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the hind end and canter. #2 has a pretty use of the hind end but doesn't seem to power from it as naturally. #3 moves a lot more like a jumper - hocks not necessarily as under it, and hind legs kind of circle. Not as much the type of ride I prefer. I actually liked #3s canter best from the small amounts we saw, but I didn't like that one's willingness to stay in a cross-canter.
They're all far nicer than any horse I'm likely to ever own, so it's a comparison at that stellar level, where if compared to horses I would be able to buy I couldn't come up with anything negative about any of them. :)
Ampere for me. I liked his canter best, and the overall sense of his personality (confident but alert) that comes through in his clip. All three horses have fancy trots, but I like a horse that willingly takes up the canter, like Ampere.
ReplyDeleteThe damon hill ampere.
ReplyDeleteDepends on what you want to do. For straight dressage, the middle one. I love his trot the best. Balanced, front and back with nice elevation. I notice he is a bit more uphill. For eventing, the first one. more extension, flatter canter, he looks very scopy.
ReplyDeleteOf course I wouldn't kick any of the out of my barn if they showed up!
Ampere. He has power in his movement and what I would def. consider "schwung." Plus, I love bays. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a Damon Hill fan, so it would be the gorgeous specimen in Video #3. ;o) Love the action, love the manners.
ReplyDeleteAmpere. He has great hock action and his gaits look easy to sit.
ReplyDeleteThere are two amperes? I like the first, the black one -- round action and sit-down gaits...
ReplyDeleteI like #1 the best, although I might like to see more of #3; his video was pretty short. I chose #1 because I liked his fluid movement, transitions between canter and trot and willingness to flying change!
