On Thursday am, I didn't have much of an appetite, and by that afternoon I had a stomach ache and chills. Bob had been sick the previous week, and I waffled for about an hour about going to the barn. I remembered, though, that he went into work (an hour drive) when his symptoms appeared and he barely made it home.
I drove home, and within an hour I was glad I did. I'll spare you the details but suffice to say my stomach has been empty for three days.
Day 3 of my 24 hour bug
While this has been my worst illness in recent memory, and I don't care to repeat it, I'm taking some comfort in the fact that I might, in fact, be able to fit into some breeches that have been feeling a bit snug. If I can keep it off, maybe some jeans breeches are in my future.
This is so girl, and so horsey. Not proud of it, but there it is...
Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteWay to make lemonade! ;D
ReplyDeleteFor a woman that's the upside of being sick, always has been always will be. But I doubt you can keep it off. And, aren't you already too thin? Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteI had that earlier this winter. It's beyond awful.
ReplyDeleteOh heck yeah. I was sick two winters ago with first the flu and then a stomach bug (not consecutively!). The first thing I did upon recovery from both was weigh myself. :-) Unfortunately, the results have not been lasting...
ReplyDelete*waves arms around to ward off Karma*
NO, I don't REALLY want to get sick again! It was horrible and listening to my husband whine about "doing all the work" was NOT worth it!
Ugh. So sorry you got it, too. I had the same bug. It's the most painful diet plan, but on a bright note, those three days of starvation sort of made up for those last three weeks of holiday overindulgence. Alas, once I felt better I craved copious amounts of cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteHowever, try taking some probiotics. That really helped my stomach get back to normal. Glad you're feeling better.
