Equestrian fashion show: "Crystals are conservative"

I had the fun experience of attending an equestrian fashion show last week. The theme of the night was "don't be afraid." Don't be afraid of color, of pattern, and certainly don't be afraid of crystals. In Europe, the styles are far more "out there" than here in the U.S., and we learned that many S judges are ordering show coats, shirts, and even boots in non-traditional colors. The rules are changing, ladies.

My favorite comment of the night...

 "Crystals are conservative." 

 You heard it here!

    As someone who has started showing in the western pleaure/western horsemanship world, this makes me chuckle. If you don't have silver, crystals and bling, you are out of place! ;-)
