So it's been awhile since I've posted Riley videos -- with the January weather, three trips to Louisville, and my father's passing, I have ridden very little. Last weekend the weather changed dramatically, and temps went from the 20s to high 40s, seemingly overnight. On Monday, Ri briefly showed signs of colic -- trying to roll, kicking at his belly. While it was over within an hour or two, it's prudent to be careful. In the footage below I'm riding Ri -- the first time since the tummy episode -- gently.

It's a bit pokey but I'm very pleased with the canter work. Back in 2012, we were barreling around the ring and barely making turns. This felt relaxed and balanced.
