I'm not one of those people who loves to read kids books, but recently a writer sent me this book, and I read it because I was intrigued -- and because it was short. Penny the Palomino Quarter Horse and her New Shoes has a great message -- the message of not worrying. This little palomino heard he would get shoes, and she fretted about all of the shoes she has seen and how none of them would be right for her. In the end, she gets shoes that are just perfect.
Author Gary Scogin lives in Houston, TX and he graduated from Texas A&M University and is a language
arts teacher who loves getting his students excited about reading. He is working on an upcoming book where Penny goes to the Kentucky Derby.
Take a look at the positive review in Kirkus Reviews. The book is available on Amazon.com for about $12. Great Christmas gift!
